Estimation Engineer - Substation

Job Description

The role involves collecting information on new tenders and ensuring pre-qualification for projects in new territories. It includes studying tender documents to identify and analyze key commercial and technical aspects, preparing a detailed bid synopsis for review, performing accurate costing and estimation, and participating in pre-bid meetings to address queries and finalize project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Tender Research and Pre-Qualification: Identify new tenders, ensure pre-qualification for projects, and explore opportunities in new territories.
  • Document Analysis and Compliance: Review tender documents to analyze key commercial and technical requirements and ensure alignment with project needs.
  • Bid Preparation and Costing: Prepare bid summaries, perform accurate costing and estimation, and ensure competitive and feasible submissions.
  • Engagement and Collaboration: Attend pre-bid meetings, address queries, and collaborate with teams to finalize and submit tenders effectively.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • AutoCAD - For designing and reviewing substation layouts and electrical schematics
  • Primavera P6 or MS Project - For project scheduling, planning, and tracking
  • Excel or Estimation Software - For cost estimation, budgeting, and creating detailed cost breakdowns (such as ProEst, CostX)
  • Tender Management Software: Tools like Aconex and Procore help manage tender documents, track submissions, and enable team collaboration.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word for bid synopses, PowerPoint for presentations, and Outlook for communication with stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications

B.E/Diploma[EEE]

Preferred Experience:

The ideal candidate should have 6 to 15 years of relevant experience, demonstrating expertise in tendering processes, bid preparation, and project management within the industry.
