Bench Foreman

Job Highlights:

  • Repair, maintain and test safety, control and process isolation valves in petrochemical facilities
  • Diagnose valve problems at site and in the workshop
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble gate, globe, ball, butterfly, diaphragm, plug and control valves
  • Perform valve lapping, calibration, pressure testing and seat leakage testing as per applicable standards
  • Carry out hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of repaired valves
  • Operate and maintain valve testing equipment, safety valve test benches and HP test benches
  • Maintain and test hydraulic valves used in LDPE high-pressure processes
  • Diagnose and test control valves, actuators and positioners
  • Maintain proper records of valve repairs, testing and calibration certificates
  • Ensure proper storage and identification of valves, spares, tools and testing accessories
  • Follow HSE, PTW, e-WMS and PPE requirements at all times
  • Work as a Certified Job Performer (JP) and maintain a safe and organized work area

Requirements:

  • Secondary education or relevant technical/skilled qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in valve repair, testing and bench fitting within the hydrocarbon industry
  • Experience in petrochemical plants or petroleum refineries is preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience with safety valves, control valves and process isolation valves
  • Experience with LDPE high-pressure valve maintenance is an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office
