Safety Officer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Coating Inspector to ensure that all coating & painting operations meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspection procedures for protective coatings, surface preparation, and quality assurance in industrial or construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspect and monitor coating applications to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and procedures.

2. Conduct surface preparation assessments, including sandblasting, cleaning and priming checks.

3. Perform visual inspections, thickness measurements and adhesion tests.

4. Review coating procedures, material certifications and technical documentation.

5. Identify and report defects, discrepancies and non-conformities.

6. Collaborate with project engineers, contractors and quality teams to resolve coating issues.

7. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

8. Maintain detailed inspection reports and records.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or relevant discipline).

2. Minimum 8 years of experience as a Coating Inspector or in a similar role.

3. Strong knowledge of coating materials, industrial painting processes, and inspection standards.

4. Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.

5. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

6. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
