Lineman Distribution

Job Highlights:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution lines, poles, transformers, cables, switches, and meters.
• Install and maintain overhead electrical distribution systems according to approved drawings and safety procedures.
• Inspect and repair damaged electrical wires, insulators, circuit breakers, and other distribution line components.
• Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair activities on live or de-energized electrical lines as per authorized safety procedures.
• Dig pole foundations and erect concrete and other distribution poles using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform cable installation, connection, termination, and maintenance activities as required.
• Climb electrical poles and work safely at heights while carrying out installation and maintenance activities.
• Use electrical testing equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Identify faults in distribution networks and support timely troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns, emergency repairs, and service call-outs when required.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures, work permits, PPE requirements, and site safety standards.
• Work effectively in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete assigned distribution line activities safely and efficiently.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance, repair, inspection, and installation activities.
