Project Engineer Transmission

Job Highlights:

  • Supervise and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission lines up to 230 kV.
  • Manage transmission line tower erection, foundation works, and associated electrical installation activities.
  • Supervise stringing and sagging activities for transmission line conductors and earth wires.
  • Oversee the installation of insulators, fittings, bird diverters, aircraft warning lights, and other transmission line components.
  • Conduct regular inspections of transmission lines, towers, foundations, conductors, and associated equipment.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for transmission line systems.
  • Supervise insulator cleaning and other routine transmission line maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, maintenance, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review drawings, technical specifications, work procedures, and project documentation before execution.
  • Identify technical issues during installation and maintenance and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure all transmission line works are carried out in accordance with approved standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment required for transmission line activities.
  • Supervise electrical works related to substation projects and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and maintain site reports, inspection records, progress reports, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety, quality, and project requirements.
