Workshop Technicians

Job Highlights:

  • Perform preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance of workshop equipment and plant rotating equipment such as compressors and pumps
  • Dismantle, inspect, refurbish and reassemble valve shop, machine shop and fabrication shop equipment as per maintenance procedures
  • Carry out inspection, repair and refurbishment of rotating equipment components using appropriate mechanical tools and measuring instruments
  • Perform lapping of mechanical seals and valve plates as required
  • Check and replace service fluids, grinding wheels and other consumable components of workshop equipment as per manufacturer guidelines
  • Measure component dimensions before and after refurbishment and accurately record inspection results
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, equipment manuals and maintenance instructions
  • Operate workshop equipment, tools and testing equipment safely for inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance activities
  • Maintain proper identification, storage and traceability of spare parts, refurbished components and special tools
  • Maintain equipment inspection records, maintenance logs and relevant workshop documentation
  • Follow company HSE, PTW, e-WMS and PPE requirements at all times
  • Work independently with minimum supervision and perform duties as a Certified Job Performer

Requirements:

  • Secondary education or relevant technical/skilled qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in a large workshop environment
  • Strong experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of high-pressure rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines and pumps
  • Petrochemical plant or similar industrial maintenance experience is preferred
  • Hands-on experience in lapping of mechanical seals and valve plates is required
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
